Olakira is a semi luxury mobile camps that shadows the Great migration throughout the year. With 2 different locations in the Serengeti, in Seronera and down in Ndutu, the camp is a great migration base in June and July as well as the calving months of December to March.

'Olakira' means 'star' in Masai and is an intimate tented camp. With its sister camp, Sayari, on the Mara River, they cover the best areas of the vast Serengeti National Park. The location of Olakira camp in the Central Serengeti allows guests to be in the areas with the densest concentrations of wildlife and yet it still manages to surprise with its spaciousness and comfort.

The camp features just 6 spacious tents with en suite bathrooms, a private veranda overlooking the Serengeti. African décor furnish the tents and will make you feel part of Africa, the surroundings will take you in and make you feel part of the great Serengeti Eco-system.

A stay in Olakira Camp is not about luxury, but about being in the middle of this wonderful spectacle, with wild animals roaming around the camp at night, this is a dream come true to even the most experienced of travellers.

Olakira Camp– Our view

Without any doubt one of the best mobile camps in the Serengeti. Guiding here is superb, food and service are also set very high. In June and July the location is perfect and for December to march their Ndutu location is also spot on. For the remainder of the year the camp stays just above Seronera where resident game is exceptional, albeit somewhat busy with other tourists! Overall, we love this camp!
