Rufiji River Lodge is changing! Long been owned and operated by Luigi, he has now moved on and the camp is being taken over by the Fox Family, owners of the Ruaha River Lodge, Katavi Wildlife camp and many others.

Having had a long chat with the new owners, we have gleaned that their plan is to knock down the entire camp and start again! The idea is to separate into two camps, what is currently one large camp. The details above are true as far as we can gather. Having operated lodges all over Tanzania for the past 20 years or so, this is definitely going to be a camp to watch! The sister camp, the Frederick Courtney Selous camp, at 6 tents, is going to have more of a bush camp feel….but who knows at the moment!
